The Teacher
Jean Claude is an amazing person, teacher and healer. Although he eventually became a pupil of Shri K. Pattabhi Jois, he first began studying yoga at the age of 14½, working from a book by Indra Devi, the first American woman to study with Shri T. Krishnamacharya. He spent some time in Southern India digging wells and planting crops.
He began teaching yoga in Rouen and following yoga classes and yoga teaching classes with André and Denise Van Lysbeth. Later he worked with Jean Bernard Rishi (who at that time was a pupil of Shri K. Pattabhi Jois, and then became a disciple of B.K.S. Iyengar) and was so impressed with Iyengar that for the next few years he went to Puna in southern India to work with him.
To improve his knowledge of anatomy and the locomotive system he studied general and cranial osteopathy. He studied psycho-corporal psychotherapy according to the teaching of Wilhem Reich, and then followed courses to become a psychotherapist with among others Edouard Starck, Dr Gerard Guash and Dr Raphael Estradavila. He then studied with Jack Painter and gained a diploma of Master in Postural Integration. He has recently completed studies in energetic osteopathy and acupuncture with Jean-Pierre Guiliani & Régis Blin.

He divides his time between teaching yoga, psychotherapy, and general and cranial osteopathy.
